Love you boo
The thought of having a child is overwhelming. I seriously feel like a child myself at times. I'm turning 27 so I know I am plenty old enough to be bringing a baby into the world, I'm financial stable and prepared, I am married to an amazing person who will make an incredible father and I live close to both sets of future grandparents. Why I am so worried? The gravity of becoming a mother is shaking me to my core. It's bringing up so many questions - not about who I am today but about who I want to be. I'm gonna lay it all on the line and be honest and say that I am terrified. I want to be a good mom - well a great mom. I want a healthy baby that will grow up in faith and in love. I want a baby that loves me as much as I will love them. Anyway....here is another piece of art I plan on framing and putting in the nursery for Tiny Twitty. Made with love - for my future love. It's very simple but that's what I'm into these days. Clean, simple and to the point. Love you Twitty.

11 Weeks!!!!
Today we are 11 weeks pregnant. I have to admit I've felt much better this week. Still exhausted but not nearly as sick. I can't believe we are almost done with our first trimester. It's all happening so fast. Before you know it - Twitty won't be called Twitty anymore - it will have a real name. One of the biggest changes I've noticed is that I am always thirsty for ICE cold water. Ice is a scare commodity at work so I've been bringing in a camping style cooler filled with delicious ice water. I look like I should be working at a construction site - but no....I'm just prego! Welp - I better go, I'm thirsty!
Baby of Mine!
Tiny Twitter is just that - TINY. It's so little still I can't feel anything in there but I am still thinking about my little one to come. Today I made this - for Twitty's future nursery. Neil and I don't know yet if it's a boy or a girl - but this is perfect for any child because we will love it. More graphic art - custom made by mommy to come :)

Tired doesn't even come close
So pregnancy is an experience. I have good days and bad days. There was a whole week where I literally didn't get off the couch until Thursday - except to eat, drink and potty. But the hardest part is being so tired. I am a busy body. I always have 500 things going but now it's hard for me to keep up my previous lifestyle when I am exhausted all the time. I drive almost and hour to work each way so by the time I get home I am worthless. It's quite an adjustment for me. I am slowly but surely learning to listen to my body but it's hard to get all the rest I need when my brain isn't tired. Twitty is working overtime in my belly so cat naps are a necessity. I brought my yoga mat into work and I have been know to be on the floor from time to time - just trying to get through the day. I'm almost through my first trimester so I know there is an energy burst around the corner - I can't wait. Until then - call me before 8pm - anything after than is sketchy at best :)!
Why Tiny Twitty?
Anyone who knows me - knows that I constantly make up words, phrases, call things by different names on purpose, and generally try to conform just enough but not too much. Knowing that it makes sense that I would give my unborn child a name - by which I could refer to it while it is still - ummm in my belly. Baby and peanut were a little too normal - not really my style - but Tiny Twitty where the heck did that come from. Well the hubs and I were in my parents swimming pool shortly after finding out, we were soaking up the sun and listening to country music when Conway Twitty came on. I am not sure how from there we decided to call the little one Conway Twitty but we did.
My family is known for giving people nicknames so already we have several for the poor little baby Gurnsey - all variations of Conway Twitty. These include - but are not limited to: Conway, Conway Twitty, Twitty, Tiny Twitty, Twit Twit, and CT. I am sure there are more to come but this is what we came up with so far. Until next time :)

Expanding the Family
Welp Neil and I have really gone and done it this time. We are pregnant with our first child and we are thrilled - and a little scared. I wanted to start this blog because pregnancy is a wild ride, a journey, an experience and I don't want to forget what it was like. When we have our baby, we want to be able to share with them how much we loved them and what it was like to have them. Stay tuned - it's sure to be a rollercoaster - of love.
